Eligibility & Verification
Last Updated: November 15, 2025
Important Disclaimer: Granvia Group LLC is an education-first platform. Payment-history reporting is planned but not active today. No data is currently furnished to credit bureaus. This page outlines the eligibility and verification processes we will use if and when this optional feature launches, ensuring compliance with FCRA standards and transparency for our users.
Granvia Group LLC (“Granvia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to responsible practices. This page explains the planned eligibility criteria and verification steps for our optional payment-history reporting feature, should it become available. We prioritize user privacy and accuracy, adhering to Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) guidelines.
1. Overview
If launched, payment-history reporting would allow eligible members to have their on-time (and any missed) membership payments reported to credit bureaus like Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. This is entirely optional, requires explicit opt-in, and aims to help demonstrate financial responsibility. However, we make no guarantees about credit score impacts, as these depend on individual credit profiles and bureau algorithms.
Eligibility ensures only verified users participate, protecting data integrity and compliance.
2. Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for optional reporting (if available), you must meet the following:
- Active Membership: Hold a current, paid Granvia membership (monthly plans recommended for ongoing history; annual plans provide a one-time record).
- Age and Residency: Be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident (due to FCRA and bureau requirements).
- Payment History: Demonstrate consistent on-time payments with Granvia for at least 3 months (to ensure reliable data).
- No Disputes or Fraud: No active disputes, fraud alerts, or identity theft reports on your account.
- Opt-In Consent: Provide explicit, separate consent via our secure opt-in form, acknowledging that both positive and negative payment data may be reported.
We reserve the right to deny eligibility if any criteria are not met or for compliance reasons.
3. Verification Process
Before enabling reporting, we will verify your identity and details to prevent errors and ensure FCRA compliance:
- Identity Confirmation: Match provided details (e.g., name, address, last 4 digits of SSN if required) against secure third-party verification services.
- Account Review: Confirm your Granvia account is in good standing with no outstanding issues.
- Consent Validation: Require a timestamped, electronic opt-in with clear disclosures about data sharing and your rights.
- Security Checks: Use multi-factor authentication (MFA) during opt-in to protect against unauthorized access.
Verification typically takes 1-3 business days. You’ll be notified via email of the outcome.
4. Your Rights
As a potential participant, you have the following rights under FCRA and our policies:
- Opt-Out Anytime: Withdraw consent at any time; future reporting stops immediately (past data remains per bureau rules).
- Dispute Inaccuracies: Challenge reported data directly with us or via the bureaus—see our Compliance & Data Practices page for details.
- Access Your Reports: Obtain free annual credit reports from AnnualCreditReport.com to monitor any furnished data.
- No Guarantees: Reporting does not promise credit improvements; consult a financial advisor for personalized guidance.
