Granvia, explained in plain language.
Granvia Group LLC is an education-first company focused on better payment habits, budgeting, and data-furnishing readiness. This page answers the most common questions from consumers, small businesses, and future lending partners.
Short version: today we teach, design programs, and build tools. If we are approved to report to major credit bureaus (such as Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) in the future, that reporting will be optional, eligibility-based, and backed by strict compliance controls.
For Consumers: What Granvia does (and doesn’t) do
We built Granvia for people who want to understand their money, stop guessing, and build habits lenders actually respect.
Is Granvia a lender or a credit repair company?
No. Granvia is an education and tools platform. We are not a lender, we do not offer loans or advances, and we are not a credit repair organization.
We do not call creditors on your behalf, dispute items for you, or promise score increases. Instead, we teach you how the system works and give you tools to make your own decisions.
Will using Granvia raise my credit score?
We never guarantee any specific score outcome. What we do is:
- Show you how utilization, payment history, and new accounts typically affect scores.
- Help you build realistic payoff and savings plans around your actual budget.
- Provide checklists and templates you can use when communicating with lenders or bureaus.
Scores are controlled by the bureaus and scoring models—your results will always vary.
What kind of tools are inside the member area?
Members get access to educational tools such as:
- Budget builder and payoff planners that show how changes affect your cash flow.
- Checklists and templates for documenting payment history and disputes.
- Courses that explain data furnishing, Metro 2® concepts, and how lenders look at risk.
All tools are simulations and education—none of them change your credit report directly.
Who is Granvia a good fit for?
Our typical consumer members are:
- People rebuilding after life events (collections, late payments, new debt).
- Borrowers who want to understand how lenders read reports before applying.
- Self-starters who prefer a playbook and tools instead of a “done-for-you” service.
For Small Businesses & Startups
Granvia is also built for founders, fintechs, and emerging lenders who want to design responsible payment programs from day one.
How can a business use Granvia?
Businesses typically work with us in three ways:
- Internal training: Teaching teams how credit data, Metro 2®, and disputes work.
- Program design: Structuring payment, subscription, or credit-builder programs to be “furnishing-ready.”
- Policy & controls: Drafting playbooks and procedures that align with FCRA, Reg V, and Experian expectations.
Do you currently report trade lines for my customers?
No. At this time Granvia does not furnish any consumer data to Experian or any other CRA. We are in the education and preparation phase only.
The benefit for your business right now is getting your processes, contracts, and data flows ready so that if reporting becomes available, you are not starting from scratch.
If Granvia is approved to furnish data, how would that work?
If and when we are approved:
- Participation would be optional and governed by separate written agreements.
- Only eligible programs that meet our underwriting, documentation, and controls standards could be reported.
- All reporting would follow Experian’s policies, Metro 2® guidelines, and our Compliance & Data Practices framework.
Nothing on this site should be read as a guarantee of future reporting approval.
Can my startup talk to someone about program design?
Yes. For qualified businesses, we offer consultative sessions focused on:
- Mapping your current customer journey and payment flows.
- Identifying what data would be needed to support accurate reporting later.
- Outlining policies, procedures, and documentation you’ll eventually need.
To inquire, use the contact form or email the address on our Contact page.
About Credit Reporting & Data Furnishing
Regulators and bureaus care about clarity. This section explains our current status and future intent in straightforward terms.
Are you a consumer reporting agency or data furnisher today?
No. Granvia is not a consumer reporting agency and does not currently furnish any data to Experian or other CRAs.
We are building and documenting our compliance framework in advance, which you can review on our Compliance & Data Practices page.
Why do you talk so much about Experian policies if you’re not reporting yet?
Because Experian and the law expect any future furnisher to have written policies, controls, and training long before the first file is ever sent.
By publishing our framework publicly, we:
- Show consumers and partners exactly how seriously we take accuracy and integrity.
- Give Experian and regulators a transparent view of how we’ll operate if approved.
Will my payments show up on my credit report if I join now?
No. At this time, joining Granvia does not result in any reporting of your payments to Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion.
Any future reporting, if offered, would require explicit opt-in, eligibility checks, and separate disclosures at that time.
If you start furnishing later, how will disputes be handled?
Our dispute handling will follow FCRA §623, 12 CFR 1022.42, and Experian’s Data Furnisher Policies & Procedures. That includes:
- Clear consumer dispute channels via mail and email.
- Timely investigations and corrections through Metro 2® updates and e-OSCAR®.
- Documented identity-theft and fraud handling protocols.
Those procedures are described at a high level on our Compliance & Data Practices page.

Security, Privacy & Compliance
Because our work touches financial data, we design everything with security and consumer rights in mind—even before a single record is furnished.
How does Granvia protect my information?
Key controls include:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all web traffic.
- Role-based access internally with least-privilege principles.
- Vendor due-diligence and data-processing agreements for core partners.
Additional details are available on our Security and Compliance & Data Practices pages.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and retain data, and your choices around marketing and communication preferences.
What are my rights under the FCRA?
Federal law gives you important rights regarding your credit information, including the right to obtain free annual reports, dispute inaccurate information, and place certain alerts or freezes.
We summarize these rights on our Your FCRA Rights page and link to official government resources.
How do I escalate a concern or complaint?
If you believe something on our site or in our materials is inaccurate or misleading, or if you have a complaint about our services, please contact our compliance team using the information listed on the Compliance & Data Practices page.
Reminder: Granvia Group LLC provides education and tools only. We do not currently furnish consumer data or guarantee any credit outcome.
